In South Africa, and across the Globe, water and waste water treatment is requiring special attention due to continuous changes that are affecting the individual country, local authorities and industries, such as the new legislation and control, as well as the changing monetary rate of exchange.
The legislative changes endeavours to increase the awareness of pollution control as well as environmental awareness, as it is encompassed in the “polluter pays” principle, for example. It will also enhance the awareness of cost control in the factory, and any recycle and re-use opportunities. This poses other problems with respect to salinity increase, waste minimisation, scale and/or corrosion, fouling, etc.
Earthwater has focused in this area, and expanded their scope so as to supply a coherent, structured service to their clients, whether or not they experience problems with water and/or waste water treatment, environmental and water quality compliance, or process loss and control.
