14.1.3  APARTMENT SYSTEMS

APARTMENT ENTRY PANEL

TEGUI offer apartment intercom systems for up to virtually any number of apartments. Due to the modularity of the system it is very easy to make up different size entry panels in multiples of two call buttons.

The audio module (90130P) is identical to that used in the other kits referred to above.

The system uses any of the following telephone handsets. Series 7 (Ref 71011W/B/R/G/Cj), Horizon (Ref. E7020) and T200 (Ref. 90200).

The system operates either from a 12V DC supply or from a separate 220/12V transformer. See below.

SERIES 7

HORIZON

T200

Operation: Electronic call with confirmation at the entry panel. The entry panel (Ref 90130P) is fitted with a dedicated pushbutton with pilot LED to light up the call button display windows .

The Series 7 handsets offer two pushbuttons, one to release the gate or door and the other to activate a secondary door or light.

The Horizon and T200 handsets only offer a single pushbutton to release the gate or door.  However the T200 handset can be expanded to offer additional functions as described later on.

Power supply: The CP13E transformer is recommended for most applications (ref: CP13E) . However if a 12V DC supply is available, ensure that it can deliver up 250mA continuously and 1.2A peak.

Optional: The system can be expanded to have up to three handsets connected to any one apartment.

When connecting two entry panels in parallel, for instance the entry and exit of a townhouse complex it is recommended that a changeover unit (Ref. FEM291900) is used.

Cabling:

Entry panel to power supply: 6 common wires plus 1 per call.

Power supply to handsets: 4 common wires plus 1 per call..

It is recommended to mount the power supply close to the entry panel.

14.3     TEGUIBUS DIGITAL INTERCOM SYSTEMS

In large apartment systems the cost of cabling both material and labour becomes a significant proportion of the overall cost of the installation and is complex.

The TEGUIBUS digital system has been developed to significantly simplify and reduce the cost of large installations as the system requires only TWO common wires throughout.

·         The system offers a selection of entry panels as detailed below.

·         Up to 255 phones can be installed with only two wires required for both the communication and gate release.

·         The system can accommodate 50 entry panels.

·         The keypad entry panels offer a host of useful functions as detailed below.

·         Private communication between entry panel and handsets

The basic system consists of the digital entry panel, T220 handset and power supply.

Cabling:

Entry panel to PSU: 2 wires.

Entry panel to handsets: 2 common wires.

CONTINUOUS DOOR STRIKE (Ref. E5600)

Electric lock that flush mounts into the frame of a door or security lock.  The strike requires a continuous impulse until the door is opened.  It is more secure than the pre-impulse strike as the door remains locked if the door is not opened after being given an impulse to release.

PRE-IMPULSE DOOR STRIKE (Ref. E5610)

Identical to the above except that the strike requires only a momentary impulse to release the lock.  The door must be pushed closed again to re-engage to lock.

TECKLOCK MORTISE SET (Ref. TEKLOCK)

Corresponding part of the door strike which fits into the door itself.  This TECKLOCK is designed to flush mount into a 25x25 sq.mm tubular frame.

HOUSING FOR TECKLOCK (Ref. TEKLOCKBOX)
